LIFE OF A VETERAN
Don't talk to Me in the morning.
Dew on crisp grass, in the AM .
Don't talk to me at High Noon. Daylight's perfect Midnight.
Don't talk to me, after Sunset.
Watching the moon starting his travels.

Talk to me with your Hands!
Like water running down my hips.  Grip me. Fingers, twisting my hair. Arching my back.

No Talking! Silence in the knowing glance. In grace.
Its US in this tore down World. Flag unfurled . Forgotten on the battlefield.
The Island of Misfits and governments  broken toys.
